The Best Thing : Nelson Wedding

Hey everybody! Hope you all have had a wonderful week thus far...

I'm super excited to blog this next couple. The hubs and I have known Ben and Melissa for a few years now. The four of us all have served at Strong Rock Camp in various capacities, so we know these two as Houston and Pretzl. Both are incredibly gifted...so much so, that the two will soon be moving to Texas for Ben to start med school.

These two are absolutely amazing, and I was thrilled when Melissa contacted me about shooting their wedding.

We'll start with her...check out the gorgeous bride!

The light was beautiful through this walkway...

Melissa's dress was a Maggie Sottero--a designer I love being that I wore one of her dresses on my wedding day...

Again--that moment when the groom sees his bride....melt.

Sealed with a kiss..

Melissa's colors were beautiful, especially these gorgeous hydrangeas...

Ben and Melissa's bridal party was so much fun-- the girls were so attentive to Melissa and the fellas helped keep the mood light...plus, they were loads of fun....

After the ceremony, B & M had an indoor reception with loads of food! I caught this little cutie trying to blow out the sterno....

Have I mentioned that I love my crew...I couldn't do it without these two.

This next little guy stole everyone's heart. Check out his little suit!!!

A couple of hours before the ceremony, the bottom dropped out...thankfully, beautiful skies headed in for the outdoor reception....

The party really began when we all headed to reception #2...here's B & M's first dance...

Then it was dad's turn...

Ben and Melissa's reception was so much fun. They were having a blast, which translated into their guests having an awesome time!

These guys cracked me up...it was rare that they weren't on the dance floor bustin' a move...Sondra grabbed this sweet one during cotton eyed joe....

There was also "Michael" who dazzled us with his moves...

Congratulations to the Nelsons! We will miss you guys, but know you guys are going to turn Texas upside down! Love you two!

Bold As Love : Ripley Wedding

Happy Monday everyone! I told you that I would have several weddings coming your way, so here goes nothing...

I began my 2010 wedding season with a bang! In May, we packed up the Jeep and headed to Louisville, Kentucky to photograph some dear friends of ours. Stephen and Kacey met while studying at Boyce College...and now the rest is history.

I never thought anybody would be good enough for Kacey....until I met Stephen. It's no understatement when I say that these two are absolutely perfect for one another.

Meet S & K....

I know, I know....they are beautiful together...

Stephen and Kacey surrounded themselves with amazing people....who also happened to be super fun.

This makes me smile...

Kacey's details were simple and beautiful....just like her....

I absolutely loved the color scheme of the day...especially in these sweet ties....

So I had to blog this next picture...this was one of the bridesmaid's natural reaction to these two kissing...it was hilarious!!

F-U-N!

Kacey is also super-crafty...her and her mom made an amazing cupcake tower as well as this fantastic R....loved it!

This ring was Kacey's "something blue"...it's a family heirloom and absolutely gorgeous!

As the ceremony was about to begin, I snagged this shot of Stephen's three brothers...

This next image is one of my favorite's from the day...Dad is super-focused on his task, while trying to hold it together...love this moment.

The look on a groom's face when he sees his bride walking down the aisle always melts my heart...

S & K's ceremony was a worship service...there was no denying this couple's love for their Savior....

Stephen & Kacey are the final two in our little group to tie the knot, so we had to get a shot of all the couples....thanks Tommy for being the interim photographer...

S & K's new abode happened to be right behind the location of their wedding...so afterwards, we headed over there to grab some shots in front of their new home.

Stephen and Kacey, we love you guys so much and were so honored to be a part of your day. We can't wait to see what the Lord has in store for the Ripley's!!! Congratulations you two!
